People are much more resilient than we usually recognize. But when we encounter challenges and stress, we sometimes forget our strengths, lose touch with who we are, and even forget what it feels like to be happy, engaged, and in control.
As Psychologists, our job is to help you build up your resilience by tapping into your hidden strengths. We work collaboratively with you to create and hone new coping techniques and strategies. We know that being vulnerable and opening up is hard, so we work without judgement; assisting you in gaining clarity around your values and priorities. Together we will solve problems, set goals, and support you in staying accountable so that you can function at your highest potential.
Stress is ever present in all of our lives, however, there is a fine line between basic day-to-day stress and prolonged debilitating stress. Feeling chronically stressed will take a toll on our bodies, minds, and relationships, sometimes without us even realizing it. High stress that is long-lasting can also change the structure of our brain. Check out this quick video about how stress can impact the brain and check out our wellness articles section that will inspire you to start taking steps towards healthier living.
Who we are
office manager & Executive Assistant
What we do
Lack of Motivation
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
We work primarily with professional adults in individual therapy. Most of our clients are successful career driven individuals who might have anxiety from their work, family, or relationship. Some report feeling down, having low energy, not sleeping well, or not being interested in things they used to enjoy. Anxiety, depression, and lack of motivation can be crippling, keeping someone from living as fulfilling a life as they want. And unresolved trauma and depression can slowly deteriorate our joy and ability to connect to others.
You may have tried different ways to cope with little success and come to realize it might be time for an outside professional to assist you in functioning at your highest potential.
The frequency of sessions can vary, but in the beginning, it is helpful to meet weekly or every other week.
If you are wondering “How long will I need to be in therapy?” short-term work is considered to be between 8 and 12 sessions. I do have long-term clients that I see every few weeks, or on an as-needed basis.
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
We accept credit card, check or cash. Payment is completed at the end of each session.
We do not take any insurance, besides being providers with Lyra Behavioral Health. When speaking with your insurance company, you can explain that we are out-of-network Providers. Most clients have a PPO plan that allows them to use out-of-network benefits. Many clients are reimbursed around 40-80% based on their PPO. It is recommended that you contact your insurance company directly to know the details of your plan.
We are providers for Lyra Health, which allows employees of companies to receive free mental health care (no co-pays). Ask your employer about obtaining Lyra Health as a mental health benefit.
We provide a monthly billing statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
There is a 48 hour cancellation policy. No shows or late cancellations will be charged the full session fee.
Workshops for Tech Companies
We provide workshops in areas of need for businesses, specifically tech companies. The first step is a free 20 mins phone consultation to understand your company’s unique challenges and needs.
Each training is customized to your specific work environment. If you don’t see a training that fits your company’s interests, we are happy to create a workshop based on what is most pressing for your organization. Workshops are engaging, experiential, and collaborative. They last 90 mins to 2 hours.
